“To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 1:7 (NIV)

Paul’s letter to the Romans lays out the concrete foundation of Christianity, without which no Christian may be able to withstand the machinations of the devil. Paul’s letter answers the basic questions like:

  • What is salvation?
  • What does it mean to be saved?
  • How can I be saved?

This is the kind of knowledge that every Christian needs to grasp in order not to be misled by perverted teachings.

This book is not your usual kind of bible commentary. Instead, it is a serious attempt to convey Paul’s teachings in as simple a way as possible, to the end that many might find the book easy to read and understand. The book is therefore suitable even for pre-teens.

All bible verses quoted in the book were taken from the New International Version.

“To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 1:7 (NIV)

Phanuel Muverengwi had always believed that there was no such thing as God - that is until he 'accidentally' attended a church service in Hatfield, Harare, way back in October of 1992.Here is what happened...A close relative asked Phanuel to accompany him to church. Because of the excellent relationship that existed/exists between the two, Phanuel could not turn down the request. So in a sense, Phanuel was dragged to church and attended only as a favour to his relative. Just imagine! As Phanuel sat in church that Sunday, somehow logged off because attending church had not been his idea, something drastic happened to him. God is truly gracious! In a flash, God revealed Himself. It was like Phanuel had been fast asleep, with even his head blanket-covered, totally unaware of what was happening around him. It was like all of a sudden God snatched the blanket, only for Phanuel to realise that the sun had been shining all along! His is now a very long and eventful walk with Jesus.
